The last weeks we had so many great walks. This winter is so dry, sunny and warm that we believe it is allready spring.

Eyla is doing better, she still sleeps a lot, but she is awake more often and she even wants to play inside of the house. We are happy about that.

Our girl just wants to be near all the fun :-)

On sunday we met Akilah at the Rhine. After a while they both played great together!

Always paying attention to what is coming!

We spend some walks at the "Dellbrücker Wiese". And this is the right way to say hello.

Last sunday we went to the RRO again. Eyla had her fun. Here with Aramis

It is so warm that Eyla, even if it is winter, walked into the Rhine

Our training goes very well and Eyla brings her fooddummy most of the time, with joy. 

Our grown up girl. She is our beauty.

Now what is wrong with Eyla, she won´t eat, she sleeps and sleeps and wants to cuddle all day.

 

Lots has happened the last months:

I start with a picture on her beloved spot. The couch. She can lay there for hours. We could almost forget we have a dog!

My parents visited us in Oktober. We wanted to walk a 12 km walk. And well, we managed about 3 and then saw this really nice restaurant with gooood food!

At home again Eyla already knows who gives treats.. And she knows how to get them!!

Eyla had her second heat in November. A hard time for her and us because she could not walk free and play. 

So we looked for quiet and beautiful places to walk.

And let her run free behind the fence at our house

At last the heat was over, and Eyla could enjoy playing again. 

She changed in her contact to other dogs, she now looks who she wants to play with, and is often a bit sceptic. 

This young bouvier first had to invite her to play.

And also her terretorial behavior has grown. We are working on that too ;-)

In these dark days it is hard to get Eyla out of her bed. She could lie there untill 11 hour, and I still have to persuade her to go out.

She loves the warmth and cosyness of her sleepingbag. And even during the day she uses it.

"Oh no, 9 hour clock is waaaay to early for me, I just hide here so no one can find me"

If I got her out of bed at last, she is happy to go out.

A favorite place to walk is "near" the Königsforst. Lots to discover and beautiful nature all around us!

Part of our training to give Eyla a better job as taking care of everything she is working for her food. 

She only used to do this at home. But now she slowly starts to like this new game outside.

It doesn´t matter where. She runs and brings it back :-) gooood girl. 

Our christmas-girl!

We stayed in Holland for the christmas days. An had a walk on the "new" dike-path with view on the Ijsselmeer. 

A strong cold wind, but  the sun made it a beautiful walk.

Eyla smelled some deers behind the fence on the other side of the road. The deer must have know there was a fence between them, because it stayed calm. Eyla showed a lot of interest! But behaved, well it must have been the christmas-mood!

Ah yes, there is the man with the treats again! She loves Alphons.

But now only for the treat. As one can see in the evening.

At home again, Eyla always waits till all tree of us are ready to go out for a walk. If one is still missing. No way she is moving!

Outside we have fun, running for treats.

On the "freilaufgruppe", Eyla plays less, but she still loves going there. Here Ines and Eyla, old friends, had fun together.

Our grown up girl! 

Well, not always grown up.. she can be such a baby too. We just love her!

Oh no, no worries, Eyla is doing very very fine.
I just problems with my computer and internet, and not enough time.
But I took pictures.. a lot of them.
So lets start in September again. We had great weather for our walks with Eyla.
If there are no dogs around to play with, Eyla loves to play with us.

We made pictures for Christmas cards. I just love this one.

On our morning walks we had a lot of hazy days. It is like walking in a cloud and it makes everything so mysterious.
Eyla doesn´t seem to like it very much, while she loves to look around and check everything from far.

´The sun through the hazy air makes a  wonderful atmosphere.

This morning Eyla played with Davinci. They had so much fun!

Her best friend Ines on the "freilaufgruppe". But Eyla forgets that she is getting bigger and heavier and that she is playing to rough for Ines.
Still they are happy to see eachother every time.

A new morning where the sun comes up through the haze. Magical, even Eyla seems to enjoy it.

At home Eyle comes to play with us more and more. She brings us her toys so we can do some "go get the chicken".

The sunrises these mornings are just amazing.
I think it is the best time of the year for morningwalks.

Another dog at the freilaufgruppe. They can´t be crazy enough for Eyla.

On the thirds of Oktober we went to "jeder Hund rennen" Where Eyla could run 100 meter.
A lot of fun to see al the dogs run. It took Eyla 7,6 seconds to get to Jürgen and get her treat.

The day after we went to the Rhodesiand Ridgeback walk.
So great to see all the ridgebacks together. Eyla and Kianga had a great time together again.

Now Autumn is really there. Wonderful colors and it is great to run through the leaves.

Eyla made the BMX-parcour to her running-track. She gets overexcited and cannot stop anymore :-)

She just loves to run.

We had visitors from Holland. And they gave a lot of attention to Eyla. Just how she loves it!

But even our morning walk to the bakery was full of action and fun.

A walk in the forest with lots of friends. Here we did some deer looking. I was happy they where fenced while one deer really wanted to attac Eyla as soon as she came to close to the fence.

Maike joined Eyla on the BMX-track. two crazy girls :-)

Eyla likes our bike tours more and more. She decides how fast we go. There are times that we just go slow and enjoy all the smells and things to see. But suddenly she can start running and gets faster and faster.

November allready. We start in the dark on our walks. And can enjoy the sunrises. We are so lucky to have such a great place to walk just behind our house. 

That makes us both happy! 

And autúmn is slowly coming. In the morning we have had a lot of haze. Eyla love to run through it, and the grass tastes even better with all these waterdrops on it.

Always looking for other dogs to play with. And we met a lot the last weeks. Most of the times she adapts to the playlevel of the other dogs.
She even layed down while playing with a dog still week from beeing ill. But sometimes she cannot bandon her will to play and move and we have to let her cool down a bit.

This labby was a great playmate. With just as much endurance as Eyla has.

Emmy a 15 weeks old Bernardiner such a sweety. 

Ines, Eyla´s  big friend. They love to play, even if Eyla sometimes forget that Ines is a bit smaller.

Bear loves to play rough just as Eyla. A great team.

And if there is no other dog to play with, she just comes and askes me to play with her.

Or she askes visitors! As Lola cannot hold her line, this way she could still walk with Eyla. 

I made some pictures to test my black background. Eyla is very relaxed while shooting. She just want to lay down and take a nap

We had a great week together. I love our walks, we visited the sheep, the wild boar and the ducks. And Eyla is getting more and more relaxed with them. At home she loves to be close to me. We are practicing being alone from the start agan. This week we do "close the room door, take key, open front door, close door and drop key" and at the moment she stays where she is :-)

Last days Eyla saw a lot of people.
First Jürgens parents came to us. Eyla could not get enough of Anneliese! She follows her everywhere. Especially as we were having breakfast.

After that we went to Holland. Eyla stayed the whole day with Marion, Gryteke and the kids. While we were celebrating. She did very well. She even went to a bbq and behaved!

The next day we went back to Cologne and Eyla could run free again. She loves to play "catch me if you can".

Our big girl is growing up. Especially outside she looks like she owns the world. But at home she stays the little baby dog, cuddeling and sleeping a lot!

We spend our last days near home and had amazing good weather
Eyla had lots of visitors that came to her every day to play or cuddle with her.

Eyla is kind and happy to every child. 

Olaf, Momo and Lola visited us. Even if Eyla is getting bigger, Lola is trusting Eyla more and more.
She calls her "Eyla-Mädchen" and it is wonderful to see them cuddle.

Playing with Olaf is the best thing for Eyla, she gets so excited that it is hard to calm her down again :-)

Sisko is a 15 weeks old Rhodesian Ridgeback - Germany Shepherd puppy and a great playmate for Eyla. She is amazing kind and patient with him. And really enjoys playing with him.

Our Girl turned 1 today.
We cannot believe how fast this year went by. How very very small she was. And how big and powerful she is now!
She got a row meat meal and a training walk in the morning with lots of turns, "sits", "stays" and walking besides me. She still looks at me as if I am crazy walking without getting somewhere. She sure knows where she wants to go!

During the day she looked for cool places to lay down and we had a nice but warm walk in the dunes. With a pause for a drink and "bitterballen" for me. (sorry Eyla not for you.)

In the evening she showed us that she missed her "running free time" till now. She went Crazy as we were packing! She runned around in a circle (well that is what happens if you are pinned and on a long leash) and acting as if the sand is full with little monsters trying to peak her in the nose. Having these mad eyes and making these silly noises. So after packing we went to the beach by bicycle and she could play one more time with the 2 dutch Rodesian Ridgebacks. A great birthday-party.

Even her Doberman friend played with her for a while. As all where gone I went for a swim and tried to pursuade Eyla to come and swim with me. But Eyla stayed with her paws on the ground :-)

At home we showered her warm. And we almost had the feeling that she liked it! And after a great birthday-meal she cuddles and sleeps under her blanket that she got from Britta and Achim as she came to us. Wasn´t that a good birthday??

We had my parents visit us at the camping. Eyla loved it. 

we had a great walk at the beach where Eyla found some playmates again. With a new toy!
